Dr. Amir Safavi is a Staff Radiation Oncologist, Clinician Investigator, and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre. He completed fellowship training under Dr. Nancy Lee at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and residency training at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Dr. Safavi holds degrees from Columbia University and the University of Toronto.



Dr. Safavi’s interests relate to his clinical training in head and neck cancer, oligometastatic disease, and technical training in ablative, adaptive, and proton radiotherapy. He aims to evaluate the clinical effectiveness and health system impacts of cancer care interventions and discover novel strategies (biology and technology-based) for improving the radiotherapeutic index.
