Dr Gelblum is an Attending Radiation Oncologist at Memorial Hospital and Clinical Member at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Her clinical work focuses on the treatment of thoracic and head and neck cancers. She serves as Director of Regional Radiation Oncology Clinical Research at MSKCC, Vice Chair of the Radiation Oncology Research Steering Committee and sits on Research Council B for the hospital. She has served as institutional PI on several thoracic cooperative group trials studying strategies to safely dose escalate radiation for lung cancer patients with the objective to improve local control, progression free survival and overall survival. She participated in an investigator-initiated trial to study the feasibility and efficacy of implanted electromagnetic beacons for the real-time tracking of lung tumors during treatment delivery and led a study on the safety of combined EGFR check point inhibition and thoracic external beam radiation therapy. She is a member of the ASTRO Clinical Guidelines committee and represented ASTRO on the ISOO-MASCC-ASCO ORN guideline.
