Helen Chen, MD, PhD

Dr. Helen H.W. Chen is an M.D. Ph.D, and a Professor in the Department of Oncology at National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. She has been working as a radiation oncologist at National Cheng Kung University Hospital for 35 years. She maintains very active research activities and has published more than 100 research articles in peer-reviewed journals. She collaborates closely with several clinical oncologists and basic scientists on projects involved with cancer research in breast cancer, lung cancer and gynecological cancers. Her research interests focus on development of effective strategies to overcome drug and radiation resistance in cancer therapy through molecular mechanistic studies using molecular, biochemical, and pharmacological tools.
