Jarad Martin, MD, MB, ChB, PhD, BSc FRANZCR GAustMS
Prof. Jarad Martin is a radiation oncologist with strong research interests. Jarad is particularly interested in the multidisciplinary management of gastrointestinal tumours (including tumours of the liver, pancreas, rectum and anal canal) as well as genitourinary malignancies (including kidney, prostate and bladder cancers). More recent interests are in the use of low dose radiation therapy for benign conditions such as plantar fasciitis, Dupuytren’s and Ledderhose diseases. Jarad has clinical research interests in both Dupuytrens disease and prostate cancer, and the types and duration of treatment utilised for each.
Jarad has authored more than 150 peer reviewed publications and won research awards in both Canada and Australasia. He has also held senior positions in several national bodies including the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG) as well as the Australia and New Zealand Urogenital Group (ANZUP). Jarad also is involved with two MedTech start-ups: SeeTreat as Chief Medical Officer, and MarginClear as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board.
