Im a radiation oncologist whose area of competence is in the management of maladies affecting the CNS. Im board certified in Internal Medicine & Radiation Oncology, and have received fellowship certification by the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Radiation Oncology. My interests in managing CNS disease developed because of the critical importance in achieving local control without inducing iatrogenic injury, and has pivoted on providing therapies less morbid than previously accepted standard-of-care surgical or radiotherapeutic practices. I have 35 years of experience in radiosurgery for intracranial pathology and was the first in the world to employ automated rigid 3D mutual information-based registration of digital imaging studies such as MRI and CT of the CNS for focal radiation management and follow-up of intracranial pathology following treatment. I continue to be interested in developing approaches to futher the risk-benefit ratio for the use of irradiation for CNS disease.
