Jonathon Cummock, MD-PhD candidate
Jonathon Cummock is an MD-PhD candidate at Texas A&M University College of Medicine trained at Houston Methodist Hospital. His doctoral research focused on artificial intelligence-enhanced neuroimaging for early stroke detection and lesion reversibility prediction. His current research applies advanced AI methodologies to identify key prognostic indicators of survival benefit from radiation therapy across multiple cancer types, including brain, breast, and prostate cancers. His work has been recognized by the American Heart Association, the National Institutes of Health Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Consortium, the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps, and the American Society of Neuroimaging. He leverages multiomics big data to improve early disease detection, intervention, and outcome prediction, including deep learning for image analysis and machine learning for predictive modeling. Jonathon has technical expertise with CT, MRI, fMRI, electronic health records (EHR), Python, R, and MATLAB.
