Michael Folkert, MD, PhD

Dr. Michael R. Folkert, MD PhD is the Chief of Brachytherapy for the University of Washington Department of Radiation Oncology, and the Physician Lead of the Cyclotron Program. He completed his PhD in Radiological Sciences through the Harvard/Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT) Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST) and his MD through Harvard Medical School, followed by his Radiation Oncology Residency at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Folkert specializes in radiopharmaceutical, brachytherapy, and intraoperative radiation therapy techniques, and in the treatment of genitourinary, and musculoskeletal malignancies.
