Oluwadamilola Oladeru, MD, MBA, MA

As a clinician-researcher, my career is focused on improving cancer health outcomes and reducing disparities, particularly faced by vulnerable populations. My academic background and experience span basic science research in academia, government, and the pharmaceutical industry as a trainee in a longitudinal six-year NIH-funded physician-scientist training program for pre-college students. This served as a foundation for future clinical translational research projects, qualitative public health projects, and population-based studies. Through this exposure, I have developed a unique skill set in critical thinking, designing and conducting research projects, identifying resources, and implementing evidence-based findings that improve the human condition both in the United States and developing countries. As a radiation oncology resident at Harvard, I applied my skill set to breast cancer research and understanding the contribution of incarceration on cancer care disparities. Currently, in my role as an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, my primary clinical focus is breast cancer and translational research focused on quadruple negative subtypes and research program focused on health disparities in vulnerable and underrepresented populations.
