Rohini Bhatia, MD
Rohini is a current Chief Resident of Education in Radiation Oncology at Johns Hopkins University. She is a 2019 graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and 2013 graduate of the University of Rochester with a degree in Epidemiology. She has a deep seeded interest in understanding disparities in access to radiation therapy both globally and within her local Baltimore community, as well as an interest in mitigating toxicities encountered during radiation therapy for gynecologic, head and neck, and breast cancers. She was a Fulbright-Nehru scholar conducting research on non-communicable diseases and tobacco use with the Public Health Foundation of India.
She is an awardee of the BCRF-ASTRO Resident Seed Grant and is pursuing research aimed to investigate the barriers to the uptake of hypofractionation for breast and prostate cancer in Sub-Saharan Africa through a mixed methods study.
